Curiosities Mission San Javier (Baja California)

If you are in Loreto, then you must come here! Mission San Javier is set deep in the mountains, hidden by palms, cactus and orange trees. Magical place. The journey itself is magical too (sometimes might be a bit adventurous and it is better to come in a four wheel). It takes about 2 hours from Loreto town. I went here just few days after the Hurricane Odile and parts of the road were very broken or lost bellow water. But something tells me that is quiet the usual situation here :)
What here: After you have seen the church, walk through the tiny village to see very real Mexican life in the middle of nowhere! There´s a place right next to the church where you can get a cold beer and “Huevos a la Mexicana”.

How to get here: By car, it is about 2 hours from Loreto (one way). Four wheel or a car with higher undercarriage is advisable.
